Parlay Betting System

How to Play the Parlay Betting System

The Parlay betting system is fun and exciting. Learn how to play the Parlay betting system for a chance to leave the casino with a profit in your pocket.

A Simple Betting System

It is very easy to learn the Parlay betting system as there are no complicated mathematical rules to follow. There are no lists of numbers to work out beforehand and the betting is easy.

A Positive Progression System

Even though this system is not exactly the same as other positive progression systems, it is still considered to be a part of this group of betting systems.  This is because the bets described in this system are increased after a win.  This system is very similar to the Paroli system of betting.

The Theory of the Parlay Betting System

The betting in the Parlay betting system is one in which the bets keep getting larger when the player is on a winning streak.  When on a winning streak, the profits have a pyramid effect and will increase exponentially.  This type of bet is used in many types of gambling, from roulette to horse racing.  This is an old method of betting, and is based on the same system that banks use to compound interest on investments.

How to Play the Parlay Betting System

Learning how to play the Parlay betting system is quick and easy.

- Place a bet.

- If you lose, place another bet.

- If you win, leave the original bet down and add to it.  You are essentially reinvesting what you had won in the round (or rounds) before.

Risks and Rewards

By placing large bets (because of the increased size of winnings plus the original bet placed), the potential to win big is great.

However, it is also important to be aware that if you lose, you can lose big as you have also lost all your winnings from previous rounds.

It is also important to be aware of the losses that occur by placing a large number of small initial bets if you are having a losing streak.

By re-investing the winnings into the next bet, even if the bet loses, the actual loss from the player's original bankroll is very small.  Essentially, you are only losing the initial bet that you placed as all the extra money for betting has come from profits during the game.  Of course, it is not a good feeling to lose a large pile of chips that you have just won, therefore, it is a good idea to follow the advice in the tips section below.

Tips

Even though, in its purest form, the previous winnings are "reinvested" immediately by placing them as the next bet, some players choose to play this system, but keep some of the winnings aside.

In casino games, only use this betting system when betting on even money bets.  Using this system on other bets will increase the players possibility of going home broke.

This system is best used for the short term.  It is also important to remember to quit while you are ahead!  Do not keep playing once you have reached a reasonable amount of winnings.  Take your chips and cash in!
