Dont Pass Line

The Don't Pass Line is considered a wrong bet because it is wagering against the shooter.

The Don't Pass line bet is one of the most well-known craps bets but not one of the most popular. This is especially true if you are playing in a brick and mortar casino.  This is because the Don't Pass line bet, wagers against the shooter and the majority of the people at the table.  If you are playing online craps then there are no other people at the table, and therefore you don't have to worry about this.

The Don't Pass line bet is the exact opposite of the Pass line. The Pass line bet is commonly used at craps casino tables everywhere.  With a Pass Line bet, the shooter wins if they roll a 7 or 11.  The person who has placed a don't Pass line bet would lose in this case.  If a 12 is rolled they would push with the house and they would win if a 2 or 3 is rolled.

If a point has already been established, then if the shooter rolls a 7 before the point, you would win.  If he or she throws a 7 prior to throwing the point, you would win. In craps, the point numbers are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. If you are playing a Don't Pass Line wager, then you win if the shooter rolls a 7 before the point.  You can make a Don't Pass Line bet any time during the game, you just have to make sure that the shooter has not rolled the dice.

A Don't Pass Line bet is generally considered a wrong bet because you are wagering against the shooter. However, it is an option.  If you're playing online then it really isn't a concern because there's no one else at the table.

The Don’t Pass Line bet is not a very popular bet. However, players may use it. It is the opposite of the Pass Line Bet. Subsequently, the conditions that you would win with the pass line bet are different then a don’t pass line bet. In a Pall Line Bet situation, you will win if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3 and lose if they roll a 7 or 11. After the point, you win the wager if the shooter rolls a 7 before the point. The opposite would be true if you wagered a Pass Line bet. In this case, the shooter or other players would win if the point was rolled before the 7.

While the Don’t Pass Line bet can be a big deal in a brick and mortar casino, it really is not a big deal at online casinos. This is because there is no one else at the table, so you are not betting against anyone else. This type of bet is known as a wrong bet because it does bet against the shooter, however, it can be profitable. It isn’t done a great deal but is one of the many hundreds of craps bets available to players and it might be good to try every now and again.
