Fibonacci is an easy mathematical betting system. It requires very basic math knowledge and is easier than it looks at first glance.
History of the Fibonacci Sequence of Numbers
This sequence of numbers, as shown below, is so named because Leonardo of Pisa, who is perhaps better known as Fibonacci, described this mathematical sequence. This sequence was previously found in Indian Mathematics. The mathematical sequence is found, or used in, many different areas of life, from the sciences, including biology, to music.
A Mathematical Betting System
Fibonacci is a mathematical betting system based on the numerical sequence of the same name. However, you do not need to be a genius at math to figure out how to use it. What you do need to learn and understand is the basic progression of numbers, which only requires some basic addition. The Fibonacci sequence of numbers is a sequence of numbers in which the first number, one, is added to zero. Adding them (zero and one) gives a total of one, and so one is also the second number. The next number is the total of the two previous numbers, one and one, which means the next number (the third in the sequence) is two. Two gets added to one, giving three; three gets added to two, giving five, and so on. This will be shown below.
Calculating Fibonacci Numbers
0+1 = 1 If you "change" the = sign to a + sign, the next number will be 2 because 1+1 = 2. Again, change the = to +, and add the 1+2 = 3, then 2+3 = 5, 3+5 = 8, 5+8 = 13, 8+13 = 21, 13+21 = 24, and so on.
Fibonacci as a Betting System
The Fibonacci system is used in games where it is possible to bet on even money bets. This system begins to be used only when the player loses their first bet. Should the player be on a winning streak, this betting system is not used. Once a round is lost, the Fibonacci betting system becomes useful.
The player begins by betting one unit. After another loss, the player will again bet one unit. After an additional loss, the player will then bet two units, and so on. The list below shows the number of units bet for repeated losses up to 610 units.
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377 and 610.
The number of units will keep increasing. The number of units bet following 610 would be 987 (377+610 = 987). There are two main aspects that will limit how long you can play this system for. The first being the casino betting limit (or the limit for the table you are playing on), and the second, perhaps more serious factor, is the size of your bankroll. If your bankroll cannot cope with very high bets, it is important to find a game that allows you to bet as low as possible.
The Fibonacci betting system is best used to recoup short term losses, as opposed to larger losses.Martingale System vs Fibonacci System
The Fibonacci betting system requires a smaller bankroll than the Martingale system. In the Martingale system, the system tells you how to place bets on both winning and losing rounds. The Fibonacci betting system does not have any rules to follow if you are having a winning streak. The system only begins to be used when a round is lost.
